Account Director: Digital Marketing/Content Creation Agency

Our client is an amazing digital marketing and content creation agency located in New York City that has put itself on the map due to its strategic and compelling work across digital strategy, integrated campaign, social media and e-commerce. Working with some of the best brands in beauty, fashion, and retail, they are data driven, “culture obsessed”, and a real driver of fresh and modern conversations. 

The agency currently seeks a dynamic and confident Account Director to lead and organically grow a few pieces of critical business. The Account Director will represent and balance the voices of both client and agency throughout projects as well as help to identify ways to grow the business, creating a positive dynamic between teams and helping to deliver our services on-time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

-Ability to confidently interact with clients of all levels and backgrounds from CEO to marketing, PR and support staff—intuitively understanding how best to facilitate the relationship between the agency and clients in any given situation

-Ability to manage long-term, multi-million dollar engagements with multiple project tracks and teams.

-Extensive experience drafting Scope of Works for clients, managing to a budget and scope and accurately providing forecasts on the current tracking of an account(s). 

-Sharp, inquisitive, great memory and an eye for detail are key

-Work with account manager to crafts timelines, manage budgets, and oversee projects for the entire life cycle of the project. 

-Ability to be nimble, learn quickly, and adjust to client business needs 

-Ability to deeply understand and process client briefs and requirements, translating them into coherent strategy and creative approach that can be clearly communicated to the internal teams. 

-Lead new business pitches and identifies organic growth areas for existing accounts, capitalizing on opportunities to expand the business 

-Mentor and train junior staff, taking an active interest in fostering their talents

Requirements:

-Must have 7-8 years of relevant experience

-Must be proactive and assertive with a sense of urgency to get the job done and reach desired goals; an inner drive to work fearlessly 

-Independent in putting forth own ideas

-Resourceful and creative mindset to work through challenges

-Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills, with clients, supervisor and peers

- Ability to manage and set client expectations—combining client needs and team abilities to produce outstanding work.  Comfortable saying no and explaining why.

-Ability to manage and inspire teams while being operationally efficient quickly, but without losing quality

-Collaborative with understanding of team cohesion, dynamics and interpersonal relations

-Has a creative marketing POV and willing to brainstorm and voice a creative perspective

-Preferably fluent in both English and Spanish
