Account Supervisor: Leading Brand Strategy and Public Relations Agency

Our client is an amazing brand strategy and public relations agency headquartered in New York City with an interdisciplinary approach to marketing and communications. They serve B2B and B2C clients across dozens of industry sectors and boast an entrepreneurial culture where everyone is valued for individual strengths.
They currently seek a dynamic and driven Account Supervisor with 4-7 years of experience to provide leadership on several key accounts- corporate, financial and/or technology experience (preferably with a consumer lean) is preferred.
The Account Supervisor will act as the day-to-day strategic lead, anticipating client needs and providing expertise across media relations, thought leadership, reputation management and strategy. This candidate will also develop new business opportunities with prospective clients as well as mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities:
-Develop annual client plans inclusive of big ideas and always-on opportunities
- Assume responsibility for spearheading new opportunities with existing and prospective clients, securing appropriate senior input Account Leadership
-Be the day-to-day strategic lead, anticipating client concerns / needs and providing counsel across multiple accounts, and leading client and stakeholder meetings with limited supervision
-Manage all administration of accounts, advising management of reasonable deadlines and expectations regarding all aspects of ongoing client work
- Lead account teams to ensure client results, guiding the work of team members, setting priorities, managing responsibilities and maintaining deadlines
-Contribute to the mentoring and professional development of account staff
-Foster core public relations skills within account teams, including media monitoring and reporting, media coverage analysis, media relationships and pitching strategy, messaging and brand positioning
- Take responsibility for leading new business opportunities with prospective clients
-Recognize new business/organic growth opportunities with existing accounts
-Write new business proposals and programs, scopes of work, etc.
-Participate in staff planning and management
-Ensure client contracts are adhered to (e.g. billing schedule, etc.) and updated/renewed as needed
Requirements:
-At least 4.5 -7 years of relevant agency experience required
-Work independently and confidently, taking initiative where appropriate and asking for help when needed
- Possess in-depth industry-sector expertise or good knowledge of more than one industry sector
- Demonstrate ability to manage delicate situations with clients and teams
- Must possess excellent writing skills
- Must be a creative and strategic thinker
- Experience across social/digital
