Associate Creative Director/Creative Director: Brand Development and Experience Agency

Our client is a highly innovative brand development and experience studio with offices in New York and San Francisco. They develop original design solutions for an impressive array of leading technology, beauty, luxury, consumer and lifestyle brands. Their service offering includes strategy + innovation, product design, experience design, branding and packaging.
The agency seeks a smart, cool, and talented Associate Creative Director/Creative Director who is an inspired and strategically-minded leader deft at bringing cross-disciplinary teams together to develop powerful ideas across brands, print, product, packaging, experiential design, and content building. This candidate’s in-depth knowledge of brands and design is supplemented with a discerning eye towards trends and movements in culture at large. This candidate will translate meaningful strategy into beautiful, effective realities for your clients.
Responsibilities:
-Report directly to the VP, Creative Director while managing a team of up to four full-time employees and/or freelancers
Keep a pulse on all assignments and workflow
-Communicate clear and inspirational creative / design direction to the team
-Organize the team prior to presentations and internal reviews with VPs, co-founders, and clients
-Inspire teams and individuals to continue to learn, grow, and elevate their work
-Provide clear and meaningful feedback that helps team members get to the next level of their careers
-Act as a level-headed leader and exemplary contributor
- Act as a champion and steward of the agency’s brand and culture
Requirements:
Over 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role with proven design expertise across disciplines and industries
- Masters Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
- MS Office proficiency, Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
-Strategic thinker with strong vision and exceptional presentation and communication skills
-Astute sense of aesthetics and design precision across concepting and executional skills across disciplines
-Extensive design experience across channels to include brand identities, packaging design, experiential, social/web, campaigns, and print/editorial (full 360)
-Understanding of the production process across both digital and physical product realization
-Superb leadership skills and the ability to mentor, develop and train teams and junior staff across multiple projects and workstreams
-Solid understanding of movements and trends taking place both within and beyond the industries—with a specific focus in beauty, fashion, and lifestyle
