Associate Engagement Director: Global Brand and Design Consultancy

Location: New York, NY

Our client is brand consultancy, based in London, New York City and San Francisco. The company’s purpose is to create transformative brands that push what’s possible for people, businesses and the world, exploring new ways of doing things and using creativity to make a difference. 

They currently seek an Associate Engagement Director to join their team and play a key role in supporting and growing the company, leading on stand alone projects and working with client leads on larger accounts. The Associate Engagement Director will also work with Senior Engagement Managers and Engagement Managers to deliver high-quality work balancing client objectives and the company’s and identifying the fastest path to value for both. 

Responsibilities:

- Working with your team to manage and grow existing client relationships

- Develop a roadmap for the year and keeping the business up to date with projections

- Write complex programs of work (multiple workstreams, stakeholders and engagement groups)

-Manage client communication best practice throughout delivery from generating to maintaining time plans, to sharing meeting agendas and writing and following up with meeting notes

- Responsible for the quality of the output, ensuring it is on brief and accurate

- Manage client expectations throughout the relationship through to delivery

- Embrace client feedback and being a positive voice within the team maintaining morale and motivation

- Communicate and build the right internal team to meet the client needs

- Manage small to medium size pitches with the engagement client lead or principal/ executive director in another community

- Anticipate resourcing changes in advance and actively providing solutions

- Keep clients up to date and raise and solve any issue in advance

- Equip and get the best out of your team to deliver the best work

- Manage the overall finances on your client accounts, ensuring revenue, profitability, billing are accurate

- Report on client health among leadership and internal teams and manage internal client narrative

Requirements:

- 4-7 years of experience, ideally in an advertising or branding agency

- Have experience in leading medium-sized brand transformations

- Be confident in running small to mid-sized client relationships

- Have a clear understanding of branding and their role in businesses and wider society

- Be comfortable presenting to clients (on and offline) in meetings and pitches

- Flexible in how they work, taking a tailored approach to different client needs and team

- Have worked on successful new business initiatives

- Have a clear point of view on the role of brands
