Associate Strategy Director: Global Strategic Brand Consultancy
Location: San Francisco, CA
Our client is a leading, global strategic brand consultancy which unites strategy, design, innovation and experience to build compelling and powerful brands across diverse categories. They opened a San Francisco office a year ago and are building out that office across functions. The firm has a startup vibe and an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment and culture.
They currently seek a driven and eager Associate Strategy Director to act as a key project leader and supporting client advisor. This candidate will provide sound counsel to mid to senior-level clients, while assisting with managing the appropriate work streams on one high profile account in a timely, deadline-focused basis.
Responsibilities:
-Develop fresh, inspiring ideas and create compelling storylines and strategic recommendations from a range of inputs
-Command a full range of strategy skills including interviewing and deck development
-Lead various components of strategy projects including positioning, architecture, naming, design, and activation
-Bring a strong and clear POV to the work
-Navigate client situations strategically and successfully as well as strengthen/grow client relationships
-Uphold and deliver high-quality work
-Focus on the continuous improvement of products, services and processes
-Lead with inspiration, overseeing junior team members in discrete workstreams and setting goals for the strategy team
-Collaborate successfully with other functions including design, account management, new business and finance
-Seek opportunities to work smarter and more efficiently and to deliver work streams consistently on time and on budget
-Participate in 2 new business pitches/month and lead 1 new business pitch/year
-Participate in community building activities and uphold the firm’s values and culture
-Strive to maintain a work/life balance
Requirements:
-BA/BS from 4 year university required
-8+ years of experience in brand strategy consulting and/or marketing strategy
- Proficient in MS office with the ability to create advanced presentations on PowerPoint
-Ability to demonstrate integrity, trustworthiness, honesty, accountability, and ethics
-Ability to deal effectively with pressure, remaining focused and optimistic
Ability to grasp new information, technical and business knowledge
-Demonstrated ability to successfully respond to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles or opportunities which warrant attention or resolution
-Team-spirited attitude and effective conflict resolution skills
