Consultant, Competitive Strategy: Boutique Management Consultancy

Our client is a boutique management consultancy based in New York with a unique competitive strategy specialty designed to help senior executives and business leaders define and execute bold moves required to drive rapid market share gain in mature, highly-competitive, disruption-ready categories. Our client asks critical questions, analyzes information, distills actionable insights and crafts compelling stories to drive business transformations at the highest levels and among a diverse set of industries.
They currently seek a Consultant to be a key part of their team, bringing analytical, strategy, and relationship skills to both the company’s clients and team members. The Consultant’s primary role will be to conduct competitive analysis, market sizing and financial analysis to inform and direct strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Has direct experience conducting competitive research and analysis as well as market sizing and opportunity analysis
- Support directors and partners with ad-hoc client requests, problem-solving sessions and client workshops
- Build financial models and identify new business cases to show clients how to future-proof their businesses
- Able to communicate with and collaborate effectively with both clients and analyst-level colleagues, becoming a trusted advisor and mentor
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in a professional services environment such as strategy consulting or corporate strategy
- Excellent analytical / quantitative and communication skills
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial ‘can do’ spirit and is self-motivated
- Exhibits an ability to think critically, logically and creatively
- Displays a dedicated and selfless work ethic and a passion for problem solving
