Creative Director: Culturally Impactful Beverage Startup
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Our client is a culturally impactful and game-changing high-growth beverage startup based in LA. The company is blowing up drinking culture with female-first cultural leadership perspective and expanding access to a new kind of canned wine — made in Sonoma with zero residual sugar and designed for a growing community of socially-conscious consumers. ”Made by Chicks & Good Dudes,” Their media and product platform aims to transform drinking culture for good, reimagining social spaces, social norms and social drinks to make the good times better.
They currently seek an incredible and bold Creative Director to usher the company into this new phase of growth as they transition to more of a content and media-focused model across brand, campaign, motion, experiential and film. The Creative director will have the autonomy and flexibility to overhaul and execute the company’s entire creative strategy in a bold and authentic way and across all go-to-market channels and activities. In addition to competitive salary plus bonus, The Creative Director will also have the opportunity for equity and stock options as well as have access to leading networks for VCs, influencers, celebrities and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Shape and implement the company’s evolved mission, brand positioning, and identity system
- Define and execute culture-defining, omni-channel campaigns
- Drive and manage creative strategy across all go-to-market activities: marketing communications, partnerships, events, PR, social, content, retail programming, bar and restaurant activations and more
- Build a world class media-led marketing model, establishing a proprietary film-motion-sound content production process
- Lead the development of short films and documentaries for syndication across streaming platforms and other longer-form media outlets
- Codify intellectual property around brand building to support VC fundraising and corporate
development initiatives
- Coach and mentor mid-level and junior-level creatives (copywriting and design), while directing external agencies and vendors
- Build your personal brand through speaking engagements and media coverage
Requirements:
- 10+ years of creative design experience creating culture-defining and award-winning work
- Driver mentality with the ambition to get things done
- Bold creative vision and natural tendency to challenge norms
- A lateral thinker with an inventive spirit, connecting design with music, art, culture, business, technology, etc.
- A balanced creative skillset: creative strategy, graphic design, art direction, copywriting, campaign development
- An inspiring leader - someone people want to follow into new, unknown areas
