Customer Support Representative: Privately Owned Personal Care and OTC Product Manufacturer
Location: White Plains, NY, Hybrid, Remote
Our client is a privately-owned manufacturer and marketer of major Health & Beauty Aid private-label and branded-line products serving food, drug, mass merchant and e-commerce retailers. They currently seek a highly collaborative and clever Customer Support Representative to join their team to gain experience covering all of the company’s customer service functions reviewing and processing customer orders. The Customer Support Representative will also have the opportunity to think on their feet troubleshooting and resolving a wide-range of issues.
Responsibilities:
- Review and process all customer purchase orders for all accounts both manually and via EDI
- Review orders for accuracy and make changes in a variety of digital systems, including Macola
- Liaise regularly with customers, buyers, and Customer Representatives concerning the status of orders
- Handle customer inquiries with a sense of urgency; tracking, providing shipping/delivery status, lost or missing shipments, and product availability
- Work with Production, Quality Control, Shipping and other departments to ensure that orders remain on track
- Ensure that company-wide reports are accurately generated in a timely manner
- Coordinate the return of goods from customers
- Troubleshoot a wide-range of issues and developing effective solutions to these issues
- Have the ability to navigate through systems and shared drive folders efficiently, multitask and reprioritize as needed, work independently in a team setting
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills, including but not limited to MS Excel, Word, Outlook
- Macola Progression, MRP or ERP system knowledge is a huge plus
- Creative and strong problem-solving mindset with keen attention to detail
