Finance Director / Senior Finance Director:

Our client is brand consultancy, based in London, New York City and San Francisco. The company’s purpose is to create transformative brands that push what’s possible for people, businesses and the world, exploring new ways of doing things and using creativity to make a difference.
They currently seek a Finance Director/Senior Finance Director to join their team to provide strategic and financial guidance, ensuring that the company delivers on its financial commitments, and pulls the right levers to achieve profitable long-term growth. The Finance Director/Senior Finance Director will be a key partner to the US President, Global Principals, and US Executive Leadership Team reporting directly to the Global CFO, developing and delivering the necessary policies, procedures and metrics to ensure the sound financial management and control of company business.
Responsibilities:
- Quickly and efficiently advise client leads on a variety of pricing models for client contracts along with Corporate Lawyers while also regularly monitoring, reviewing and negotiating such contracts for operational effectiveness, value and terms across various time zones
- Create financial reports and prepare financial statements with integrity, completeness and accuracy and in line with reporting deadlines
- Engage in forecasting and modeling for planned growth with US President, creating financial targets and dashboards including agreeing relevant KPI’s
- Work with the Global CFO to ensure all financial targets meet holding company expectations for growth and profit margin
- Coordinate with CFO and Business Leads on financial strategy, budgeting and budget allocation against forecasted targets as well as accuracy and integrity of timesheets and payroll reporting
- Lead, mentor & manage US Finance team looking for ways to incorporate further best practices and efficiencies
- Offer guidance on all governmental and regulatory matters, intellectual property and insurance, tax, audit, compliance, issue remediation, commercial risk and credit
- Prepare management accounts & corporate group reporting
- Manage internal and external relationships such as: banks, external and internal auditors, tax authorities, group management, etc.
- Own and manage balance sheet and streamline of working capital
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role
- CPA, MBA, or technical experience in financial reporting and taxation, regulation and compliance, compensation & benefit, risk analysis, cost control and contractual law based on experience
- Experience partnering and managing multi-tiered stakeholders within the parameters of a US holding company setting
- Prior creative/agency experience leading the finance function is ideal
- Prior management experience working with direct reports/finance teams coaching and training
- In depth experience with Variance Analysis, Income Analysis, & Revenue Recognition
- Dynamics AX experience and HFM system knowledge a plus
- Experience in BPR & Process Automation
- Strong leadership, motivational, teamwork, people management and accountability skills
- Be an innovative and creative spirit for work practices and management information
- Be constantly thinking about strategic ways to improve and grow the business
- Financially astute and commercially aware/business savvy
