Fitness Channel Sales Manager: Innovative Fitness/Performance Startup (Position can be local or remote)
Location: Cincinnati, OH (remote is also an option)
Our client is an innovative fitness/performance start-up located in Cincinnati, OH. They have developed a high-performance, clean sports recovery drink with the aim of helping the recovery process following everything you give your all to- your workout, your family, your job - so you can get back out there feeling revitalized. They seek an entrepreneurial Fitness Channel Sales Manager to successfully lead a team of sales associates in the field across the country. This candidate should be passionate about the health and wellness space, and motivated to join a growing start-up. You will be responsible for leading a team to execute a proven sales plan in the field with emphasis on the alternative fitness channel (CrossFit gyms, bootcamps, yoga studios) and existing grocery retailers across the US. Over 50% of your time will be in the field or traveling. The role involves team management and direct selling.

Responsibilities:
-As a Fitness Channel Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a team to execute a proven sales plan in the field with emphasis on the alternative fitness channel (e.g., CrossFit gyms, bootcamps, yoga studios) and grocery retailers in 8 states (OH, PA, GA, VA, TX, TN, AZ, CA).
- Over 50% of your time will be in the field or traveling. You’ll be doing the hard work of leading a team and building a brand from the ground up, and you’ll get invaluable experience growing a company while reporting directly to the CEO.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive plan to meet or exceed sales goals each month across the largest, most profitable channel of wholesale fitness
- Build and lead a team of A-players in 8 target markets to execute against your plan and goals with regular check-ins
-Lead weekly company-wide team meetings focused on the fitness channel, monitor results against goals, and adjust accordingly to ensure goals are met on a monthly basis
- Sell and manage to revenue and promotional trade spend budget
- Work with Territory Sales Managers and other team members to build plans to support key retailers and merchandising teams
Requirements:
-3-5 years of experience in the food and beverage industry
-Currently employed in a sales role
-US Military veteran status is a plus
-Willing to work unconventional hours (e.g., late nights, weekends)
-Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
-The ability to work independently and take initiative without everyday instruction
