Human Resources/People Operations Generalist:
Global Brand and Design Consultancy

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid in Office)

Our client is a renowned global brand consultancy, based in London, New York City and San Francisco. The company’s purpose is to create transformative brands that push what’s possible for people, businesses and the world, exploring new ways of doing things and using creativity to make a difference. 

They currently seek a positive, energetic and supportive Human Resources/People Operations Generalist working with the Head of Human Resources and global HR acting primary contact for US applicants and recruiters in support of end-to-end people operations from job descriptions through sourcing, recruitment, interviewing, offer packages, onboarding and offboarding, payroll, learning and development, rewards and recognition and performance. The Human Resources/People Operations Generalist will also act as a culture champion and help develop, participate and lead various culture initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Support with the recruitment process including updating job descriptions, posting roles, briefing recruitment agencies, managing the applicant tracking system capturing feedback, and organizing interviews for all candidates and offer letters and offer packages

- Actively and directly source, engage, and secure top-tier talent

- Report on key metrics i.e. time to hire and cost to hire

- Own, drive, and innovate on important culture experience for employees as part of our onboarding process to drive optimal employee experiences

- Issue new joiner paperwork to all new employees and freelancers and follow along with the onboarding process and related tasks with IT, payroll and finance

- Manage and maintain HRIS/Payroll systems, tools, and data. Periodically audit data quality and test new functionality and reports and ensure accuracy. 

- Understand and advise on all employee benefits including health care, transit, 401(k)

- Launch annual benefits auto-enrollment and ensure benefits information on learning drive is up to date

- Provide first-line support for all Family Friendly Policies. Escalating queries if necessary

- Book employee holidays and comp days into project and holiday calendar

- Support employee recognition programs

- Support the salary benchmarking and pay review exercises 

- Ensure legal compliance of HR state & federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required. HR Compliance projects as needed.

- Create PO’s for freelancers and where appropriate submit timesheets

- Ensure all essential training is complete while investigating and booking training providers against training budgets 

- Play an active role in keeping the relevant areas of the learning drive up to date

- Administer the Performance Review Process

- Support the full cycle annual performance management program- including performance review design, 360 review design, system set up, communications to employees

- Assist managers with performance development plans

- Collect and encourage a culture of giving feedback

- Advise the leadership on matters of global mobility and along with legal representatives manage the visa application or renewal process

- Advise employees on their responsibilities as a sponsored worker and options available to them in visit or transfer situations referring to immigrations lawyers, as appropriate.

- Support the CFO with any termination of employment 

- Continuously review our processes for improvements

Requirements:

- 3+ years in a People Operations role, with at least 1 year in a talent-focused role- Has expertise & experience in scaling all aspects of People Operations, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, culture building, and other People Operations activities- Passionate about building and supporting diverse & inclusive teams and cultures

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on excellence- Great team player with a collaborative mindset towards the team- Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive towards aggressive deadlines

- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills

- Thoughtfulness, flexibility and a positive attitude

- Understanding of federal and state labor laws

- Experience of processing personal data and understanding of confidentiality and data protection legislation

- Knowledge of US and NYC/SF labor law and US immigration law

- Experience with payroll management & benefits administration

- Experience of working within a creative environment
