Resource Manager/Studio Manager Opportunity: Design and Branding Agency Creating “Living Brands”

Our client is leading design and branding agency located in New York City with an incredible roster of clients and a creator of "Living Brands"-- brands that respond and are responsive, brands that challenge, and brands that authentically resonate with the consumer. They strategize and produce beautiful work across branding + identity (packaging is an important output) as well as more upstream work across brand strategy and innovation.

They foster a collaborative and fun environment where upholding creative standards and maintaining healthy client relationships is key. They feel like an independent agency given their entrepreneurial spirit but they have the resources and backing of a larger network.

They currently seek a dynamic, confident and “get it done” Resource Manager/Studio Manager to oversee and manage all client requested services carried out by the agency’s creative and account departments. This individual must be incredibly well versed in the processes, operations, needs, and concerns of the Design and Account group teams. This role will be in charge of improving the overall efficiency of all activity that is planned, scheduled, and organized for creative and account teams, acting as a gatekeeper and ambassador as well as the central agency hub for workflow planning and output.

Responsibilities:

-Plan daily staffing requirements 

- Attend all project kick-off meetings in order to understand the full scope of every project

- Gather and compile all requests, deadlines and special accommodations in order to accurately prepare the weekly schedule

- Prioritize projects based on budget, resources, and client relationship

- Draft, distribute and maintain weekly project status summary

- Coordinate workstation requirements for new hires and freelancers

- Coordinate vacation schedules to ensure adequate resources in the studio

- Resolve scheduling conflicts that arise based on last minute or new client requests

- Ensure that Creative and Account teams have been briefed and have relevant information to start a project

- Ensure that each team becomes involved in a project at the appropriate time

- Ensures all freelancers / illustrators / lettering artists have required POs before starting

- Establish and maintain control over all studio materials and accurately record their usage in accounting system 

- Ensure the timely completion of all design jobs with the existing resources in the studio and assure that these jobs meet budget and are of the highest quality possible

- Conduct monthly reviews with the EVP of Design Operations and the Chief Creative Officer to identify problems and potential solutions regarding the studio

Requirements:

-3-8 years of experience, resource and/or project management experience in an agency environment preferred

- College degree or equivalent required (prefer either business or the arts)

-Experience working in a team environment

-Flexible, adaptable - at ease in a fast paced, creative, entrepreneurial environment

-Positive and energetic with excellent communication and administrative skills

-Dependable, team player with a problem solving mentality

-Patient, proactive, detail oriented and able to multi-task while working under pressure
