Senior Account Manager: Global Design and Branding Agency
Location: New York, NY
Our client is a design agency with a global team of dedicated strategists, provocateurs, client partners, designers, and writers, in the business of solving problems through design-led approaches.
They currently seek a Senior Account Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of critical accounts. The Senior Account will prioritize daily objectives and drive the timely delivery of work, ensuring success for both client and studio. They will also enthusiastically build deep client relationships and drive all aspects of the account forward.
Responsibilities:
-Draft proposals/SOWs for approval by Senior Account Director
-Collect and store all needed project details / files / information from clients prior to project kickoffs and brief appropriate team members on assigned projects
-Create project timelines and monitor progress on project tracking tools, navigating obstacles that arise and ensuring timely delivery
-Develop and lead context briefings, feeding in business / client / research / account information and requirements
-Work with Resourcing Manager to assist in weekly pre-planning and provide vigilance of the work needed
-Prepare for and meet with clients to build relationships, set expectations, present progress reports on account and project activity, identify roadblocks or potential issues
-Consolidate, document notes and act on client feedback, advocating for work with clients
-Demonstrate an understanding of design and its relevance to the defined strategy
-Review and critique work in a constructive manner before it leaves the studio and ensure that the work output matches the client’s brief and company standards
-Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal team members across functions, encouraging teamwork
-Track project success and budgets against SOWs using a variety of financial tracking tools, escalating potential financial risks and collaborating with accounting team to update, correct and deliver invoices and POs
Requirements:
-5-7 years of experience, preferably client services or project management in an advertising or branding agency environment
-Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
-Natural inquisitiveness and desire to ask questions and take ownership of accounts
-Experience working independently responding to situations, escalating only when necessary to senior management team
-Ability to prioritize needs of client and balance needs of internal teams
-Willingness to champion and demonstrate passion for the agency’s output
-Collaborative and flexible work style dedicated to improving agency processes and ways to optimize agency profitability
