Engagement Director/Senior Engagement Director: Global Brand and Design Consultancy

Our client is brand consultancy, based in London, New York City and San Francisco. The company’s purpose is to create transformative brands that push what’s possible for people, businesses and the world, exploring new ways of doing things and using creativity to make a difference.

They currently seek a Senior Engagement Director to join their team and lead some of their largest clients, enabling transformative branding work. The Senior Engagement Director will work across multiple pieces of the business, creating and leading long-term successful partnerships with new and existing clients, directly managing the engagement team and playing a key role in growing new business. The Senior Engagement Director demonstrates foresight beyond existing projects and programs, achieving client goals, building trust and enabling success by balancing client and company objectives. 

Responsibilities:

-Own deep long-term relationships with C-level clients, becoming a strong and trusted partner

-Present and lead periodic strategic business conversations and workshops with clients  

-Present a proactive approach to solving issues among teams, clients and other stakeholders

-Lead contract reviews/negotiations, financial conversations around scope or payment teams 

-Manage engagement team, ensuring delivery of quality output from briefing to delivery

-Act as main escalation point for clients and as a confidant to the client when needed

-Demonstrate ability to prioritize volume and importance of work among team 

-Anticipate and make people-led resourcing decisions

-Play an active role in fostering team growth and development

-Track and report on financial client success metrics and empower the team to keep on top of and understand the financial health of the client

-Target, identify and pitch high-growth new business opportunities among current and prospective clients

-Play an active role company in offerings and developing ideas for how to innovate  

-Bring thought leadership, strong relationships and ability to network within the industry

Requirements:

-8-15 years of experience, ideally with an advertising or branding agency background

-Experience leading global brand transformations

-Strong business understanding and acumen with a strategic mindset

-Proven thought-leadership and expertise on the role of branding using big-picture ideas and applying research and theory

-Expert at building, networking and fostering long-lasting relationships with clients 

-Comfort with frequent client presentations both in person and online on high-level strategic recommendations, program recommendations and project progress 

-Collaborative approach leading, fostering and managing internal teams 

-A flexible work style, willing to accept new challenges and presenting optimism in the face of new challenges

-Ability to cope well with feedback, uncertainty and setbacks
