Senior Industrial Designer: Brand Development and Experience Agency

Our client is a highly innovative brand development and experience studio with offices in New York and San Francisco. They develop original design solutions for an impressive array of leading technology, beauty, luxury, consumer and lifestyle brands. Their service offering includes strategy + innovation, product design, experience design, branding and packaging.
The agency seeks an accomplished Senior Industrial Designer to join their beauty, lifestyle and packaging team. The ideal candidate has a passion for design in all its forms, impeccable taste, and a compelling skill set, including an extraordinary sense of aesthetics and the ability to translate brand values into captivating narratives, products, and experiences.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with a rich portfolio of clients in the beauty and luxury space
- Lead concurrently running projects from inception through completion
-Think strategically, story tell, and ideate exceptionally through sketching, 3D modeling and rendering, and understand a variety of manufacturing processes and materials.
-Work collaboratively with other members of the industrial design team, the graphic design team, and diverse internal departments to ensure excellent creative output
-Consistently push the envelope in terms of trends and innovations
Requirements:
-5+ years of relevant design experience in the beauty and/or lifestyle space
- Degree in Industrial Design or equivalent experience
- Strong Portfolio demonstrating superior taste, ideation, and execution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to lead and motivate employees at all levels within the studio
-Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present confidently to internal senior management and external senior stakeholders
- Concept, strategy, sketching and rendering skills
- 3D CAD/surface and solid modeling proficiency (Solidworks or Rhino3D)
- Adobe Creative Suite proficiency
- Keyshot or 3DS Max rendering and animation software
