Senior Manager to Director, New Business: Leading Influencer Marketing Agency

Location: New York, NY. Hybrid.

Our client is a leading and fantastic influencer marketing platform and full-service influencer agency in NYC that offers a unique self-serve platform allowing clients to run the best influencer marketing campaigns imaginable. They also run managed campaigns-- End to end, from start to finish, initial idea to final report.

They seek a results-driven and highly motivated Senior Manager to Director of New Business to spearhead new revenue opportunities and play a key role in growing the agency’s client base. This individual will be responsible for driving inbound and outbound sales efforts, building lasting relationships with brands, and working cross-functionally to ensure smooth transitions from new business wins to successful execution. This position requires a strategic thinker who is confident in pitching, building pipelines, and aligning the agency’s solutions with client needs.

Responsibilities:

Internal:

- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including Client Services, Product, Marketing, Strategy, Legal, and Finance, to drive new business opportunities.
- Create and manage Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) for new business partnerships.
- Develop and deliver detailed briefs to the Strategy team to ensure alignment on client objectives and expectations.
- Stay "chronically online"—keep up with industry trends, emerging creators, and social media shifts to identify new opportunities.
- Set up the Client Services team for success by ensuring smooth transitions post-sale, ensuring that all parties are aligned and prepared for client engagement.

External:

- Drive new business revenue through inbound and outbound sales efforts, meeting and exceeding team growth goals.
- Build, nurture, and manage relationships with Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) brands, becoming their trusted partner for influencer marketing solutions.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurately forecasting opportunities and managing deal timelines.
- Constantly evaluate sales processes, communication strategies, and team workflows to improve efficiencies and streamline our approach.
- Represent agency at industry events, positioning the company as a thought leader in the influencer marketing space.
- Manage brand budgets, ensuring efficient and strategic breakdowns for campaign execution.
- Spot new business opportunities and creatively solve client challenges with tailored agency solutions.
- Confidently pitch the agency's services to prospective clients and work to close new business deals.

 Requirements:

- 6+ years of experience, preferably within an agency sales or client services role or on the brand side. 8+ years at the Associate Director level and 10+ years if Director level.
- Strong network within the influencer marketing industry, with the ability to leverage warm leads and established relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas, present confidently to leadership, and adapt communication style based on the audience.
- A deep understanding of the influencer marketing execution process and how it integrates with brand marketing goals.
- A strategic thinker who can identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive business growth.
- Comfortable in high-stakes sales environments with a proven track record of success in driving new business.
- A growth mindset with a passion for continual learning, adapting to trends, and improving processes. 

The role reports to the Head of New Business, and the agency also has a Head of Growth, and responsibilities also include management of more junior new business team members. The team works hybrid out of their NYC office.
