Strategy Director: Global Strategic Brand Consultancy

Our client is a leading, global strategic brand consultancy which unites strategy, design, innovation and experience to build compelling and powerful brands across diverse categories.
They currently seek a seasoned Strategy Director to act as a key client advisor for their team. The Strategy Director will lead a full breadth of strategy projects across multiple industries utilizing market research, brand architecture, positioning, naming and activation. The Director will ensure efficient resourcing on work streams and will be accountable for the overall quality of all strategic deliverables. Additionally, they will actively participate in new business efforts and project staffing.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned branding professional with B2B and consumer brand building experience to make significant contributions to the work, culture and financial success of the business.
Responsibilities:
-Provide strategic leadership to cross-discipline project teams, providing clear, confident, and inspiring leadership and helping to define and express the core strategy for organizational branding challenges and product/offering-level branding challenges
-Act as a close advisor to clients, demonstrating expert category knowledge and helping to create true future brands while keeping the overall objectives and strategy of the clients in mind
-Create clear and compelling storylines that are strategically sound and emotionally provocative
-Anticipate and understand client needs, translating them into actionable briefs with thoughtfully scoped and priced deliverables
-Seamlessly integrate strategy, creative and account teams throughout the lifecycle of a project
-Mentor and support team members, monitor progress on a consistent basis and remain open and available for questions and discussions whenever required by the team
-Consistently monitor all ongoing revenue streams on projects, determine appropriate staffing and resource allocation, clearly communicating project team roles and responsibilities
-Ensure profitability of project by properly scoping deliverables and work streams, and confirming written client agreement on pricing and fees
-Take the lead on leveraging, optimizing and enhancing the firm’s proprietary tools and frameworks
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree or continued education
-A minimum of 15 years of related work experience in brand strategy, brand management, corporate branding, digital strategy, innovation or strategic planning
-Strong leadership skills as well as empathy
-Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills including the ability to write creatively and clearly
-The ability to excel under pressure
