VP of Brand Marketing: Beauty/Wellness Startup

Our client is a prestige beauty/wellness startup located in New York City. They have created a collaborative, entrepreneurial and fun culture focused on a very positive mission. This is an opportunity to play a leadership role in a startup environment and to help them grow and evolve in the right way.

As they grow, they seek a dynamic VP of Brand Marketing to help build and scale the brand. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering with the creative department, performance marketing team, and external agencies to help develop engaging stories and content. The ideal candidate will be a naturally inquisitive marketing leader who is continuously seeking to drive brand improvement initiatives
across the board and desires to build a stellar team. This person must have a very entrepreneurial and adaptable attitude where collaboration is key.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee and manage the design and planning of brand strategic marketing (inclusive of short-term and long-term marketing goals in support of the long-range vision of the brand).

-Operate effective multiple parallel Go-To-Market processes ensuring key marketing deadlines are achieved in a timely fashion.

-Manage relationships with external agencies to develop strong partnerships while maximizing efficient use of resources.

-Anticipate and implement necessary adjustments to our brand strategy and execution process to support expansion through new marketing initiatives and campaigns.

-Evaluate/track key metrics and success criteria to drive strategic initiatives for all marketing, advertising, and video content across all activations.

-Manage budgets pertaining to the brand marketing function of the business alongside our executive team.

Develop and mentor the next generation of our exceptional marketing team- provide leadership, insight and guidance.

Requirements:

-10+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, and management building world-class consumer and/or digital brands.

-Demonstrated experience within high-growth, fast-moving start-up environments, particularly with DTC branded service model.

-Proven track record creating and executing innovative and disruptive integrated brand strategies and campaigns (across digital, social, CRM, OOH, direct response, etc.).

-5+ years building strong partnerships and credibility with internal teams, cross-functional teams, and agencies.

-3+ years leading, growing and managing an internal high-performing marketing team.

-3+ years owning marketing budgets with a strong focus on financial performance, metrics and investment ROI.

-Experience building global brands and creating marketing campaigns that leverage purpose.

-Expertise in managing a large network of macro and micro scaled influencers (including celebrities).

-Passionate about creating impactful consumer-centric experiences.
